Living in the University of Delaware
Wow! At last, I arrive Newark, a small quiet town in Delaware. This town is the home of the University of Delaware (so called - UD). UD was a beautiful university (or I had just seen the first university in the U.S., I didn't know) It was located on hills and surrounded with forests. The building looked very old and fascinating (somone said that UD looks similar to Harvard, how dare he is!). Its oldness is true, because it was established since 1787.
I still didn't feel good since I left the airplane in Philly. I had a problem with my stomach. The first few days I always felt nausea, either before eating or after. I was better after a week. At first, I thought I couldn't survive in this country if I couldn't eat anything. However, after everything was all set, it seemed OK for me, and I felt better and better.
We took the intensive English courses of English Language Institution (ELI) of UD. Most of us selected English for Academic Purposes courses (EAP) both for reading and writing. I was selected to be in level VI. My listening & speaking teacher was Anne Owen (wow!), and my reading & writing teacher was Ken Cranker.
