Red Up

"Ovation GC057 Celebrity Super Shallow Bowl Acoustic-Electric Guitar" is the name of my new guitar which I bought here. It was bought from Guitar Center, music instrumental shop near Pittsburgh International Airport. The brand "Ovation"-on of the best acoustic-electric guitars-could firmly guarantee its quality. However, this model price was quite low because it was made in China (-_-")

It cames in Red, which is my favorite color, the same its gigs bag. Nowadays, I have not much time to play it, but I'm trying to use it more. Actually, I'm taking one-on-one guitar course off-campus. It's time to be a musician now !!

Language Barrier

When I was in UD, I never thought about the problem of my English skills. The teachers were very nice and they always made me fell comfortable and courageous to speak. Everything was very different in the real academic study. The topic you were talking about was not an ordinary topic or headlines anymore. Frankly, they were about Privacy, Databases, Software Engineering Models, Networks, etc. They're the real hard-core academic stuffs! Moreover, professors talked very fast, almost. My classmates included Americans, Indian (which speaks very well), Chinese (the same level as me, good!), etc. I became a shy boy again after I had never been since I came in the US and in UD (other people thought I was pretty much talkative).

I have to try to improve this! it's directly related to my student's life. It's OK if I just walked into a supermarket and bought somethings. Nevertheless, it's not such easy. Thus, I decided to take an English workshop at the Office of English for International Students. Let's try and see what will happen... I hope it should be better..soon.

Welcome Back to School!

It's the first day of Fall semester today. I find a lot of students, more than ever in the summer break. The Cut (green field in the middle of CMU) is filled with undergraduate and graduate students. Some play volleyball, soccer, football (it's mean American Football here -_-"), or just take a nap inside the shade of trees. The campus comes alive over night. The weather is quite hot today. Nevertheless, my excitement overcomes all of the weather. I'm BACK TO SCHOOL. Yeaa Haaaa...!!!

School of Computer Science - Wean Hall

Here is the school of computer science of CMU. Its name is Wean Hall (from the name of a person). The building is very old maybe because it haven't much been re-innovated. However, inside is OK. CMU is big for Computer Science field, and thus this building might collects a lot of history within. I have one class in this building - Software Engineering for Information Systems. My office space is not here, yet it is in 300 South Craig Street building, the building of Software Engineering.

Thai Party on Chalfont Top Roof

Party time! Today we have a party at night on the top roof of Chalfont. Almost of Thai students join in the party, and there are nearly 30 of us today. Wow! The panoramic view from the top roof is very nice, as good as foods. Lots of Thai foods ,that I missed for a long time since I came here, have been served such as Naam Tok, Jaew, Yum Woon Sen, etc. Moreover, I have a chance to know many Thai people here. Thanks P'Namtoey for inviting me. :)

Nothing to say. Just would like to show my room with nothing except a mattress inside.

CMU Quick Tour

Next day after I arrived Pittsburgh, My Thai friends and I went to CMU to get the ID card and look around. CMU was very small university compared to UD. However, it's beautiful. The "Walking to the sky" art artifact in front of the university attracted me the most. It's looked very vivid (like the real people), and conveyed good meaning inside. P'Ping and I got the ID card in a very short time from the room opposite to the computer cluster room called "the Hub". The mission was accomplished!

After that, we just walked fast around some buildings like Cyert Hall (Sai-Yert-Hall), Warner Hall, and University Center (UC). Finally, we went home.
